Heinz College DC Discussions: Preventing Electoral Violence in Africa

Please join Heinz College Washington DC and Carnegie Mellon University's Center for International Politics and Innovation (CIPI) as we celebrate the release of Preventing Electoral Violence in Africa.? Co-authored by Ambassador Jendayi Frazer, Distinguished Service Professor of Heinz College, and E. Gyimah-Boadi, Executive Director of the Ghana Center for Democratic Development, the book was a result of the CIPI-sponsored conference on the promotion of non-violent elections which was convened last year in Accra, Ghana.? Heinz College DC students Daron Christoper MS '12, Juli Digate MS '12 and Joyprada Swain MS '11 also contributed to the publication.

The event will feature a conversation and Q&A with Dr. Frazer and Dr. Pearl Robinson, Associate Professor of Political Science at Tufts University.? Dr. Robert Wilburn, Director and Distinguished Service Professor of Heinz College Washington DC will host the evening's activities.? A reception and book signing will follow with Politics & Prose Bookstore offering the book for sale.
